John Philip Swart
John P. “Jack” Swart is a native and lifelong resident of southeastern North Carolina. He was born and raised in Wilmington and practiced law there from 1980 until 1995, when he moved 45 miles up Highway 17 to Jacksonville to join John Drew Warlick Jr.’s firm, which provided, and continues to provide, personal and professional representation to folks in need of legal assistance.
Over the 40 years Mr. Swart has enjoyed the privilege of practicing law, he has worked tirelessly to provide the dedicated, hands-on, individualized, and professional effort every client he undertakes to represent deserves.
Mr. Swart’s practice is focused on representing people who have suffered injury as a result of the fault of others and through no fault of their own. He represents his clients in both state and federal courts in injury cases arising from automobile wrecks, motorcycle accidents, truck crashes, defective products and medical malpractice.
In order to stay in touch and up to date with new developments, theories, practices, and procedures concerning these areas of the law, Mr. Swart stays active and involved in professional organizations. He has attended and been involved in presenting numerous educational seminars and programs.
Mr. Swart recognizes that giving back to the community by involvement in local affairs and organizations is not only a civic responsibility but is also important in thoroughly knowing and understanding the character and societal dynamics of the communities where he represents his clients.
On a more personal level, Mr. Swart is married to Janet Rose Swart. They are the parents of two grown sons and the proud grandparents of a little girl and baby boy. He spends his free time boating, fishing, performing “honey-do” chores, and enjoying meals and good times with family and friends.
